Bruce McWilliams, 2012 Auto Show Chairman and managing partner of Lee’s Summit Honda and Lee’s Summit Subaru, has a simple business philosophy... focus on the processes and work hard.

"Great businesses are built one brick at a time," says McWilliams. "At our dealerships, we build the foundation and focus on the customer. The teams at Lee’s Summit Honda and Lee’s Summit Subaru understand that taking care of customers is job one."

And it’s with that same care and attention that McWilliams chairs the 2012 Greater Kansas City International Auto Show. "The Auto Show is a highly anticipated event each year. Along with over 500 new cars and trucks, there will be unique attractions making their Kansas City debut. I’m confident that everyone will be excited to see what we have."

Bruce became infatuated with the auto business while he was washing cars part-time at Blue Springs Ford and attending Longview Community College. He worked as a certified technician, service advisor, shop foreman and collision repair manager before becoming fixed operation director of Balderston Automotive Group. He was named general manager of Lee’s Summit Honda in March 2001 and opened the Subaru dealership in 2008.

Bruce is president of the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Kansas City and sits on the Dealer Advisory Board of Honda America, and the Kansas City Honda Dealers Association. He is a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Boy Scouts of America and life member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He enjoys golf, sport shooting and woodworking and treasures spending time with his family.
